Eggs & Juveniles
Troutlodge Marine focuses on the supply of the highest quality genetic material for the global marine aquaculture industry. We are currently in various stages of research, development, and commercialization of eggs and juveniles of a number of warm and cold water species. We invite you to explore this link to learn more about each of our product offerings, including cobia, sablefish, moi, Florida pompano, and more.
Troutlodge Marine has now successfully produced two commercial runs of sablefish (Anoplopoma fimbria)
juveniles, making us the second company ever in the world to commercialize this species. Juvenile production takes place at our sablefish production site on the shores of the Hood Canal in Brinnon, Washington. Visit this page to learn more about how sablefish might provide great opportunities for you to diversify your product mix with this high-value species.
Troutlodge Marine has quickly become a premier supplier of genetically-superior cobia (Rachycentron canadum)
eggs and juveniles. Eggs and juveniles of this species are supplied from our facilities in Vero Beach, Florida. Cobia is a tropical marine species known for its tremendous growth rates (up to 7 kg in one year) and its valuable white flesh that is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids.
Moi is the local Hawaiian name given to a warm water reef species known to others as Pacific threadfin (Polydactylus sexfilis)
. Troutlodge Marine Farms has been working with moi since shortly after establishing our presence in Kona. We maintain our own selected broodstock, from which we produce eggs and juveniles for sale to on-growing farms, as well as for our own production of moi for the local food markets.
Troutlodge Marine and our predecessors have been working with Florida pompano (Trachinotus carolinus)
for over a decade, and have developed a very consistent supply of the highest-quality eggs and juveniles of this high-value marine species. These eggs and juveniles are produced at our Vero Beach, Florida marine hatchery.
