Cobia
Troutlodge Marine has quickly become a premier supplier of genetically-superior cobia (Rachycentron canadum) eggs and juveniles. Eggs and juveniles of this species are supplied from our facilities in Vero Beach, Florida. Cobia is a tropical marine species known for its tremendous growth rates (up to 7 kg in one year) and its valuable white flesh that is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids.
Sablefish
Troutlodge Marine is currently in the research and development stages of establishing a sustainable production of sablefish (Anoplopoma fimbria) eggs and juveniles. This work is on-going both at our facilities in Kona, Hawaii and along the shores of the Puget Sound near Seattle, Washington.
Moi
Moi is the local Hawaiian name given to a warm water reef species known to others as Pacific threadfin (Polydactylus sexfilis). Troutlodge Marine Farms has been working with moi since shortly after establishing our presence in Kona. We maintain our own selected broodstock, from which we produce eggs and juveniles for sale to on-growing farms, as well as for our own production of moi for the local food markets.
